I don't know someone elses belief all the time. And as far as I can tell a lot of prayers go up in smoke. I will give best wishes/thoughts to anyone, including mentioning prayer if I think it is appropriate to make them feel better.

JW compassion?
by William Penwell ini have a nephew that has just recently being diagnosed with a life threatening disease through bad choices he has made in his life over the last 20 years.
now he has asked myself and my sons to be there for him and without being judgemental we have being up at the hospital every other day for the last couple of weeks.
now this is the part where i am just pissed right off.. one of my nephews other cousins goes to the hospital and starts giving him a guilt trip, saying that this was all his own fault that she couldn't talk to him for the last 20 years and his sickness now is all because he left jehooba organization blah blah blah.

what of all those faithful ones who get cancer, and all the other ills? or get killed on a trip to a convention. How about the ones who do not have good insurance (money) and have to forego treatments?

Go Bags, Safe houses and cartoon of two kids.
by scruffmcbuff ini have been out a good 10+ years and until recently didnt pay much attention to what the jehovahs are up to.. why have they taken this turn with the bunker videos and making all the brainwashed people like my parents pack a go bag.
now let me just clarify.
im a military man i believe everyone should have an element of preparedness canned goods,bottled water and a bug out bag is a great addition ( ill stop waffling on about that now).. but what concerns me is the fact they are advising elderly people to bug out.

Being prepared and having a go bag is a popular movement among all sorts right now. it is an offshoot of the troubles had during recent catastrophes. it is encouraged by the government,, just look at the Awake information and compare it to what the gov. encourages. What I will carry that is not on the list is a .22 pistol.
Nobody has told what is going to happen here, we are too far away from coasts to have hurricanes, are not in earthquake country.
You can count on the family being in separate areas when whatever happens anyway. My take is we have some really good neighbors if it hits even if they don't go to meeting. As for the elders, who is going to look after these duffers?

this last study has him a snot nosed (my take) teenager, who is moving up.

The actual Bible account only tells him being raised as a believer. None of the drama stuff about having a materialistic father (if he was even around), skipping "college", having worldly friends trying to influence him.
My own opinion is he was in his 30's, that is how long it takes to get a handle on life. But never let facts get in the way of an argument.

by JRK inif a decades-long apostate decides that they should marry a semi-active jw, what odds would you put on the viability of the marriage?
if not viable, how long before the shit would hit the fan?

despite all the hype, marriages are made or broken on similar backgrounds and common goals, not the 10 hours and spending vacation at conventions. A semi in witness would probably be OK with missing meetings, and compromising on holidays (just don't get too blatant).
Can the two make a decent life in things like housing, family, recreation, common goals?

here there are not any new appointments to either "privilege". must have to do with the old boys club. the CO did notice it last visit there are a lot of beat men trying to make a living and make sense of the direction??? the WT is taking

that survey didn't even mention that lots of people want education to further the good of all mankind. Doctors, nurses, come to mind.
The elders who do more for the flock usually have enough money to not work 2 jobs, and smarts to figure problems out.
